Curriculum Companions are adapted activities designed to enhance your curriculum, helping students strengthen their reading and writing skills with exciting and engaging science and social studies activities. All Curriculum Companions have identical structures, so students can spend time learning new concepts within a fun and familiar context of activities. Curriculum Companions are appropriate for students of all ages and abilities with academic goals in the K-2 grade-level. These activities can be viewed with either Boardmaker Plus!, Boardmaker Plus Player, or Boardmaker with Speaking Dynamically Pro.
Fun and easy
Fun for students to use, and easy for educators to adapt, each Curriculum Companion includes several adapted activities that offer different levels of symbol support, prompting and vocabulary building tools to improve reading comprehension. They also offer a range of supported writing and practice activities designed to supplement daily lessons. The interactive, on-screen Curriculum Companion content can be viewed with Boardmaker Plus! or Boardmaker Plus Player. Without any knowledge of Boardmaker Plus! programming, a teacher, parent, or aid can adapt the lesson using the simple settings for each group of activities. For even more control, the content can easily be modified with Boardmaker Plus! to suit your students’ unique needs.
